South Decatur Elementary School recently issued the following announcement.
Dear Decatur County Community Schools Families,
As I am sure most people have heard, Governor Holcomb closed all schools in Indiana through May 1 which will not allow for staff or students to enter our buildings. Decatur County Community Schools will continue its original plan of being closed for the two weeks of March 23 through April 3, utilizing waiver days from the Governor. This means that no eLearning will take place for those weeks of March 23 through April 3. As I stated previously, by the end of March we will announce to everyone a decision on how school will proceed starting the week of April 6.
The Governor also delivered some amazing news that all state standardized testing has been waived for the remainder of the school year!
Please remember on Monday, March 23 we will be distributing student electronic devices. We are keeping the same schedule announced earlier this week. To see this schedule, and the full communication, please read the May 1 closure letter.
