Of the 860 people living in Lake Santee in 2019, 58.3 percent (501) were women and 41.7 percent (359) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Columbus Standard.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 258-to-237. In the 65 and over age range, there were 102 females and 84 males.
