Indiana University-East issued the following announcement on Oct. 10.
Angel Del Valle and Emiliano Tercero both placed 15th to lead the Indiana University East men's golf representatives at the Earlham College Randal Sadler Invitational, which concluded Oct. 10.
Del Valle and Tercero posted a 36-hole score of 166 on the par-72, 6,964-yard layout at Harbor Links Golf Course. Del Valle carded a team-best 80 in the final round.
An IU East group that included the Red Wolves' four true freshmen finished with a team score of 684 to finish fourth in the team standings. IU East posted identical team scores of 342 in both rounds of the 36-hole event.
Del Valle, Tercero (82 in the final round) and Dillon Letendre (84 in the final round) all improved their scores from Round 1 to Round 2.
Tournament host Earlham won the event with a 36-hole team score of 627. Earlham's Mychal McKelvey was medalist with a 150.
This tournament gave the IU East players who did not travel to the Red Wolves' late-September out-of-state events a chance to compete in a fourth fall event.
This event concluded IU East's fall season. The Red Wolves' conference championship season is in the spring.
