Indiana University-East Athletics issued the following announcement on Oct. 16.
Kayla Amidon scored twice on her Senior Day as the Indiana University East women's soccer team earned a 3-1 River States Conference victory Oct. 16 against WVU Tech.
It was the regular-season home finale for IU East (7-6, 5-2). WVU Tech, which is coached by former Red Wolves assistant Kate Franks-Carr, is 4-6-3 and 1-4-3.
Second-year freshman Kimberly Trapp got into the act with a goal and an assist. Another senior, Abbie Conway, assisted on Trapp's goal with a perfect pass via a corner kick.
Amidon scored her two goals a few moments apart midway through the second half to erase an early 1-0 lead for the Golden Bears.
IU East completes a stretch of three matches in five days with a trip to Oakland City University on Oct. 18. The match is the makeup date for the contest originally scheduled for Oct. 2.
