Indiana University-East issued the following announcement on Oct. 16.
For the second time in three years, WVU Tech played spoiler on Senior Day for the Indiana University East men's soccer team.
The Golden Bears scored off of a scrum in front of the IU East goal in the 54th minute and made the goal hold up for a 1-0 decision at Centerville High School.
IU East (1-11-1) dropped a 1-0 decision for the fourth time this season. WVU Tech, which has received votes in the national rankings throughout the fall, is 7-4-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the league.
WVU Tech also edged IU East by one goal on Senior Day in 2019.
IU East's next match is Oct. 21 at Ohio Christian University. Match time is 1 p.m.
