Men's Soccer: IU Est 1, Oakland City 0

Indiana University-East issued the following announcement on Oct. 23.

The Indiana University East men's soccer team won its second straight Rivers States Conference match with a 1-0 victory Oakland City University on Saturday, Oct. 23.

The Red Wolves are now 3-11-1 overall and 3-4 in the league, while the Mighty Oaks are 9-4-1, 5-2.

Dailen Troutman scored off a deflection for his first goal of the season at the 37:14 mark in the opening period.

"I knew we had to win and I've been looking for a goal all season," Troutman said. "I knew it was coming when Santy Elavarasu crossed it in."

IU East goalkeeper Alex Visscher recorded four saves as he posted his second shutout in a row.

Next up for the Red Wolves is a trip to Point Park University on Thursday, Oct. 28. The conference affair gets underway at 8 p.m.
