Indiana University-East recently issued the following announcement.
The Indiana University East women's basketball team takes on the top team in the River States Conference West Division with a visit to Midway University on Jan. 22.
Tipoff is at 3 p.m. in the second game of a men's-women's RSC doubleheader.
IU East (15-5, 6-2) is second in the RSC East Division. Midway (15-5, 7-1) leads the RSC West Division.

* IU East has won two in a row, most recently a 71-61 home victory against Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College on Jan. 15.
* This is the fourth of seven "crossover" games against RSC West Division opponents for IU East. The top four teams in each division qualify for the RSC Championship tournament.
* IU East is 5-2 in true road games this season.
* IU East is 9-0 when it makes 30 or more field goals.
* IU East is 4-4 in NAIA meetings against Midway. The Eagles have won the last two meetings. The Red Wolves seek their first win on the Eagles' home floor.
* IU East ranks in the national top 15 in free throws per game (fourth with 17.1) and points scored per game (14th with 80.6).
* Addie Brown (15.2 points per game), Kennedy Griffin (13.7), Kami McEldowney (12.4) and Bethany Mackin (10.7) continue to average double digits in scoring for IU East.
* Tia Tolbert (6.4 rebounds per game), Bethany Mackin (3.3 assists per game), Marissa Quiroz (0.7 blocks per game) and Paige Gregory (1.9 steals per game) are IU East's leaders in the other standard statistical categories.
