Indiana University-East recently issued the following announcement.
Two teams jostling for postseason position meet Jan. 22 when the Indiana University East men's basketball team visits Midway University.
Tipoff is at 1 p.m. in the first game of a men's-women's River States Conference doubleheader.
IU East (8-11, 4-4) is third in the RSC East Division. Midway (10-5, 4-4) is third in the RSC West Division.

* IU East snapped a losing skid with a 113-64 home victory against Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College on Jan. 15.
* This is the fourth of seven "crossover" games against RSC West Division opponents for IU East. The top four teams in each division qualify for the RSC Championship tournament.
* IU East is 5-0 in NAIA meetings against Midway, which started its men's basketball program in 2016.
* Justin Williams (12.4 points per game), Dionte Raines (11.1), Jamisen Smith (10.4) and Garrett Silcott (10.3) all average double digits in scoring for IU East.
* Jehu Lafeuillee (6.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game along with 9.5 points per game) and Jamisen Smith (2.9 assists per game and 1.5 steals per game) are IU East's leaders
in the other standard statistical categories.
