12

Huntington University recently issued the following announcement.

Huntington University Athletic Director Lori Culler has announced the hiring of Patrick Davis as the next Forester women's golf coach. Davis is the third coach for the women's

program since its inception in 2015.

"I am thrilled to be the new head coach for the women's golf team at Huntington University," said Davis. "I am looking forward to starting with the players and assisting them with

performing their best on and off the golf course.

"I hope to have a positive impact on the program."

Davis has a long-standing relationship with HU golf not only as a player but as an assistant coach for the past year and a half prior to taking over the reins this spring.

Davis currently serves as the head club professional at Dogwood Glen Golf Course in Warren, Ind. Prior to this role, he spent  six years as the Director of Golf at Norwood Golf

Course and five years as the head professional at LaFontaine Golf Club.

In addition to his extensive experience as a golf pro, Davis has been giving private lessons for over a decade. His coaching resume also includes serving as an assistant coach at

Huntington North High School for five years.

"After serving as an assistant, we are pleased to have Patrick step up into the head coach role for our women's program," said Athletic Director Lori Culler. "As an alumnus of HU

as well as our men's golf program, he will hit the ground running in this new role. We look forward to his leadership of the program."

As an alum of Huntington, Davis was a four-year member of the HU golf program. He graduated from HU with a BA in Graphic Design in 2008.
