City of Columbus recently issued the following announcement.
First Street will be converted to one-way westbound traffic in late February through the end of March to accommodate 1821 Bicentennial Trail utility work.
New sidewalks, curb and gutter and underground utilities will be installed between Franklin Street and Lafayette Ave in early to mid-March. This will take place in front of the project site for the new Court Services Center.
There will also be increased triaxle traffic near the mixed-use development project at 2nd and Lafayette Avenue throughout March as construction begins.
Construction is expected to continue throughout the spring and summer. As construction progresses, updates will be posted and shared with local media. Please exercise caution when driving or walking in the area.
