Huntington University issued the following announcement on March 2.

The Forester men's basketball team has four of the top players in the Crossroads League as announced by the league office earlier this afternoon.

For the second straight season, junior Zach Goodline (Coloma HS, Coloma, Mich.) earned a spot on the league's First Team. Senior Caleb Middlesworth was once again honored by the league as a Second Team honoree for the third straight year. The 6-8 forward tosses in 13.2 points per game and corrals 4.4 rebounds each night. He leads the team in made three-pointers (2.2 per night) at a clip of 40.5 percent.

The Oak Hill product (Marion, Ind.) is currently 13th on Huntington's all-time scoring list with 1,804 points.

Joining Middlesworth on the Second Team is sophomore Ben Humrichous (Tipton HS, Tipton, Ind.). As HU's third leading scorer, the 6-8 forward averages 12.0 points per night. He leads the team in rebounding (5.9 rpg) and blocks (1.6 bpg) in addition to handing out 2.2 dimes and swiping 1.6 steals per game.

Rookie Lane Sparks has been a game-changer for Alford and crew this year and for his efforts has been tabbed the Crossroads League Freshman of the Year. As the Foresters' spark off the bench, the 6-3 guard nets 11.8 points per game and posts 4.1 boards, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals.

Sparks follows in the footsteps of Middlesworth who also garnered CL Freshman of the Year accolades in 2019.
