The Indiana University East women's tennis team had its season end at the NAIA National Championships on May 17.

The Red Wolves fell 4-0 to Lindsey Wilson College in the opening round of the 24-team affair at the Mobile Tennis Center.

IU East (11-9) was the No. 24 seed, while Lindsey Wilson (22-3) was No. 9. Lindsey Wilson now faces No. 8 Middle Georgia State University (8-6) in the second round on May 18. The national championship contest is set for May 21.

Lindsey Wilson picked up the doubles point with two wins, while the Red Wolves No. 2 squad of Eva Caballero and Amonette Theron were tied at 5-5 when that match was stopped.

In singles action, IU East's Camila Caballero was in the process of winning the second set at No 2 against Reshma Challarapu as that contest was halted at 6-2, 1-4.

The match marked the second straight trip to the national tournament for the Red Wolves after winning back-to-back River States Conference Championships 2021 and 2022.
