16.9% of households in Hope received food stamps in 2020

Hope ranked 123rd in Indiana for the percentage of households receiving food stamps in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

There were 116 Hope households (16.9 percent) who received food stamps. Hope's population was 1,919 in 2020.

The city with the largest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Van Bibber Lake, which had 169 of 271 households receiving food stamps, 45.5 percent more than Hope. In 2020 the population of Van Bibber Lake was 659.

The city with the lowest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was New Palestine, which had four of 1,011 households receiving food stamps, 16.5 percent less than Hope. In 2020 the population of New Palestine was 2,456.
