Morgan Harrod of Twin Valley South (Ohio) High School has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Indiana University East starting with the 2022-23 school year.
Red Wolves coach Kim McConaha announced the signing on July 22.
"Morgan is a silent grinder," McConaha said. "She will empty her tank for you in practices mentally and physically. She compliments this incoming class with her commitment and work ethic. Not only does she not mind work, but she brings a great sense of humor to the team."
Harrod was named to the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association's 2021 All-District 15 Second Team as a senior. She was a member of the Honor Roll at TVS, while earning a spot on the Western Ohio Athletic Conference Second Team. She also received several other awards in her career with the Panthers including being selected as the team's Most Valuable Player in 2021.
The daughter of Daniel and Angie Harrod, Morgan plans to study Early Childhood Education.
"Everyone was very welcoming," Tracy said of her decision to join the Red Wolves. "It was close to home. Also, IU East a good program for my major."
Harrod joins the IU East volleyball 2022 recruiting class.
IU East is an NAIA program. The Red Wolves finished the 2021 fall schedule with the program's 11th 20-win season and fourth RSC East Division title in the last five years.
