Website and Renderings Unveiled for Ross-Ade Stadium Renovation

Phase 1 of Ross-Ade Stadium’s renovation to begin after the completion of the 2022 season

The future for the home of Boilermaker Football has come into an exciting level of focus as Purdue Athletics has unveiled renderings, plans and construction timelines for the upcoming Phase 1 of Ross-Ade Stadium's renovation.

Originally announced on April 8, the $45.4 million initial phase will strategically enhance several areas of the student-athlete and fan experience within the Ross-Ade footprint, creating a gameday environment that is second to none for future generations of Boilermakers.

"The transformation of Ross-Ade Stadium is an important step in strengthening Purdue's national prominence and football success," said Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Mike Bobinski. "It's also more than just a football project; as this initiative progresses it will have a broad university and community impact. It's our responsibility to make sure that Ross-Ade is programmatically and structurally positioned to support high-level success for generations. This is our opportunity to do it right, so we need to be smart, efficient and focused on maximizing the impact of our investment."

Phase 1 construction is set to begin following the completion of the 2022 Purdue Football season, and will include:

- South end zone addition, featuring a dedicated student section and "All-American" marching band seating

- Player entrance from Kozuch Football Performance Complex (KFPC) directly to field level

- Student-athlete dining facility, enhancing nutritional support of Boilermaker student-athletes

- New premium seating opportunities, with more information coming soon

"The additions and renovations to Ross-Ade Stadium will enhance the student-athlete experience on and off the field," said Purdue Football Head Coach Jeff Brohm. "The south end zone bowl will create an exciting atmosphere that will extend throughout the stadium. A new, state-of-the-art dining facility located directly across from our practice facility will make it easy and convenient for our guys to get nutritional meals on a daily basis. Having a chance to see the renderings, I'm excited for both our players and our fans to benefit from these renovations once they are completed."

The long-awaited south end zone addition will connect the east and west sides of the stadium in its 100th anniversary season, creating a complete bowl. The south end zone and southeast sideline will serve as the new location for student seating, with Ross-Ade Stadium maintaining the second highest percentage of student capacity in the Big Ten conference. The dedicated student section enhancements will include the addition of a new Tyler Trent student entrance area, safe standing seats, patio and deck areas, rail seating, and enhanced concessions. In addition, the south end zone will include a dedicated area for the "All-American" Marching Band.

The completion of the bowl will feature an expansive concourse, which allows for a more accessible fan experience and includes an additional elevator for ADA access as well as an additional restroom. The west wedge of the south end zone will also feature a new premium experience for fans to enjoy.

The new stadium entrance for Purdue Football will create an iconic experience for the program's student-athletes, as well as providing a new level of excitement for fans in attendance. The entrance aims to improve player safety, game day atmosphere and its unique design offers an additional recruiting-based benefit.

Completing the first phase of renovations will be the student-athlete dining facility added to the northeast side of Ross-Ade, located across John R. Wooden Drive from the KFPC. The 150-person capacity nutrition center will feature a full production kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating and an architectural style complementary of the KFPC.
