The Indiana University East men's soccer team ended in a 0-0 tie against Oakland City University at Centerville High School on Thursday, Oct. 20.
The Red Wolves are now 8-5-3 overall and 3-2-2 in the River States Conference. This was the second scoreless draw that Red Wolves have played in this season.
In an evenly matched game on both sides, neither team had many scoring opportunities that they could convert. Solid midfield play coupled with stingy defense made it hard to find the net in the match.
The visitors out shot IU East 12-8 for the match and won the corner kick battle 9-4. In a physical contest there were a lot of fouls called and an issued red card on the Red Wolves late in the match.
The Red Wolves will celebrate Senior Day in the final home match of the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 22. IU East hosts RSC foe St. Mary-of-the-Woods College at Eaton High School with the kickoff at 2 p.m.
