Women’s Soccer Fall to Crusaders

The Warrior women's soccer team traveled to Livonia, Michigan, Wednesday for a WHAC matchup with the Crusaders of Madonna University. The contest concluded in favor of Madonna with a 2-0 final score.

The first half favored Madonna. The Crusaders fired six shots, scoring twice, to Tech's zero. The Crusaders opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Abby Werthman cut inside to her left foot and found the top right corner from eighteen yards out for a goal. The Crusaders extended their lead when Werthman found the net again off a deflection in the 24th minute.

Tech outshot the Crusaders 6-4 in the second half, with both teams finding the target once. Michaela Bitle played the whole game in the net, recording two saves.

Tech travels next to Grand Rapids for its last regular season game, where they will take on WHAC opponent Aquinas College. The Warriors fell to the saints in their previous matchup 3-1 back on November 3, 2021.
