Warriors Place 18th at NAIA National Championships, Voyles Earns All-American Honors

The Indiana Tech cross country program wrapped up the 2022 season Friday at the NAIA National Championships held at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida. The women's team ran at nationals for the second straight year. This is their third appearance in the last five years and the sixth time they have qualified as a team. The Warriors finished 18th with 482 points and a total time of 1:34:41.20, the second-best time and third-best finish in program history. Lisa Voyles led the Warriors crossing the line with a time of 17:30.5 to finish 6th and earn All-American honors for the second straight year. She posted the third-best finish and became the first runner to repeat as an All-American in program history. Krista Boese finished 45th with a time of 18:18.9, while Kara Kline ran a 19:16.3 to finish 139th. Lily Greiwe crossed the line in 214th with a time of 19:45.3, while McKenna Palmer posted a 19:50.2 to finish 222nd. Mel Shelt and Paige Thamer rounded out the team for Tech finishing with times of 20:52.2 and 21:09.4 to finish 291st and 304th. The men's team had two representatives competing as individuals, Justin Fleming and Isaac Sytsma. Sytsma finished first for the Warriors with a time of 25:48.9 to finish 134th, while Fleming crossed the line in 159th, recording a time of 26:01.2.-TECH-Print Friendly Version
