The Indiana Tech men's basketball team traveled to Lima, Ohio, Wednesday night to take on the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers in their first game of 2023. Tech topped the Racers with an 81-64 final score. The Warriors move to 14-2 on the season with a 7-1 record in conference play.
The Warriors shot 50% from the field as a team going 4-11 from the three-point line, and shot 68% from the charity stripe. Josh Kline led the Warriors, scoring 16 points while adding 5 rebounds, followed closely by Rog Stein with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist. Blake Davison posted 13,5 and 2, while Grant Smith recorded 10 points, 7 rebounds, and a team-high 8 assists. Cory McKinney scored 8 points and grabbed a team-high 8 boards.
Tech is back home on Saturday, January 7, as they host the Cardinals of Concordia University (Mich.). The Orange and Black took the last meeting with an 84-43 victory on January 15, 2022.
