7:30 – 9:00 am
The Commons
The Columbus Annual MLK Day committee invites you to attend the program on Monday, January 16, at The Commons. An outstanding program is planned, starting at 7:30 am, and concluding at 9:00 am. This is a very popular event, and has averaged an attendance of nearly 400 people in recent years before COVID.
The program will feature brief remarks, and community updates from our mayor, and our BCSC Superintendent. Many city and county officials will be in attendance. This year our Keynote speaker will be Mr. Kendall C. Wright. Over his impressive career, he has coached, instructed, and empowered hundreds of thousands of leaders in classrooms, churches, and corporate boardrooms.
Again, this year the breakfast will be provided FREE of charge to the community, and we will award eight $1000 Scholarships to eight college-bound high school graduates. Additionally, Ivy Tech Community College and IUPUC will award each recipient a $1000 Scholarship toward tuition at their respective institutions.
