The Indiana University East women's basketball team picked up its third win in a row as the Red Wolves beat River States Conference foe Carlow University 84-55 on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
The Red Wolves are now 7-12 overall and 6-3 in the conference with two straight victories on Lingle Court. Carlow falls to 5-15, 0-10.
Addie Brown led the way for IU East with 24 points, while Kenzie Hudgen tossed in 13 points with five assists as Taylor Browning finished with 10 points.
Davina Smith added eight points for the Red Wolves as she grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. Caitlin McEldowney also had eight points.
Carlow led 16-15 at the first stop and later 26-25 at the 3:31 mark of the second frame.
A 3-pointer by Brown put the Red Wolves up for good at 28-26 with 2:15 left in the half.
IU East eventually finished the opening half with 33-28 advantage. In the third quarter, the Red Wolves took control finishing the period with a 61-46 lead.
Next up for IU East is a home contest against Point Park University on Saturday, Jan. 21. The RSC affair gets underway at 1 p.m.
