Evan Balzer and Chase Zapfe

On Friday, March 7, former Columbus East High School standouts Chase Zapfe and Evan Balzer’s current college team, the Franklin Grizzlies, won 7-5 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Hope Flying Dutchmen.

The game took place at John P. McDowell Field. This was their first matchup against the Dutchmen this season.

The Grizzlies’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 12 p.m. at John P. McDowell Field against Hope Flying Dutchmen.
