Columbus North High School standout Maddi Rutan’s college team lost in NCAA Division I softball game on Friday, Feb. 21

On Friday, Feb. 21, former Columbus North High School standout Maddi Rutan’s current college team, the Eastern Kentucky Colonels, lost 5-4 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the USC Upstate Spartans.

The game took place at Cyrill Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Upstate Spartans this season.

The Colonels’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 4 p.m. at Hope Field against Wofford Terriers.
