City of Columbus recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Columbus and Bartholomew County are celebrating 200 years in 2021. As part of this special time, the Bicentennial Commission will host a free event on September 23 and 24 from 8:00-10:00 pm each night named “200 Years Together”.
During “200 Years Together”, cutting-edge technology will cleverly display historical photos, videos, and scenes on the Ulrich Building, which have been impactful to us both nationally and locally. The projection show, set to carefully choreographed music, aims to remind us of things we’ve forgotten, revisit important experiences we’ve shared during the last two centuries, and leave us thinking about a hopeful and bright future.
The show will loop in 10-minute intervals each night. During the event, there will also be a scavenger hunt themed around local information included in the show. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. There will also be select bicentennial-related booths, a family game area, and some free giveaways while supplies last.
